5/29/18 This feature has been replaced with InSight Pro and is no longer available. Organizations with existing user reports will be able to upload and access User Reports until phased out in 2019. Xenegrade support staff will contact organizations with existing user reports regarding the transition of those user reports to InSight.

11/27/18 The option to upload new user reports is now disabled as part of the phasing out of this feature.

Overview

Upload user designed reports for preview and print from Report Menu > Custom > User Reports.

 

Details 

  • Reports must be built in Crystal Reports 9.0 or higher.

  • Data source in report must match at least one of the existing data sources to the exact character.

  • Reports will automatically change data source across years when run based on the data source logged in as.

  • Branch options must be made as a parameter or hard coded or data from all branches will appear in the report.

  • Parameters built into the report will prompt the user when the report is previewed.

  • Only Users matching the selected Permission Groups can preview and print a report.

  • Display:  If set to No, the report will not display in the select list on User Reports.

To Upload a User Report

  • Build the report using Crystal Reports 9.0 or higher.

  • Click on Upload User Reports menu option.

  • Click New to add a new report.

  • Enter a report title and description.

  • Select one or more User Permission Groups that can preview and print the report.

  • Browse for the report to enter the report path for the file field.

  • Click OK to save and upload or Cancel to not save and close.

  • The report is now available to users who have permission to run User Reports.
