Instruction Boxes (WebReg)

Instruction Boxes display user-defined text on various pages of the WebReg module. In some cases, the Instruction Box also displays a header or title for the displayed text.

TIP:  When pasting text from Microsoft Word, do not paste directly.  Use the "Paste From Word" button when pasting.  That will be the paste button with a "W".  Also check the "Remove style definitions" when pasting. Using this method prevents all the styling and HTML code that may interfere with layout of the page where the Instruction Box will display.

To modify the existing Instruction Box text, edit the row for the Instruction Box desired. If any of the Instruction Boxes listed below are not in your search results list, use the New button to add it. In each record, the following two fields are available.  Unless otherwise stated below, each field is used.

  • Header:  Used as a title or header identification.  This is not used for every text location
  • Description:  The text to be displayed.  The text can be informational or instructional.  The location displayed is listed with each option below.  Basic HTML is supported in the Description field. Be aware that some HTML can adversely affect the visual display of the entire page.

TIP:  When pasting text from Microsoft Word, do not paste directly.  Use the "Paste From Word" button when pasting. That will be the paste button with a "W".  Also check the "Remove style definitions" when pasting. Using this method prevents all the styling and HTML code that may interfere with the layout of the page display.
