Overview

Allows user to upload, classify, describe, and store MS Word or PDF files for a specific Course or Course Section.  Documents recorded under this area are for internal use only.  Documents are accessible by users but are not accessible by clients and cannot be attached to emails.  Use of documents may require purchase of additional storage space on XenDirect servers.

User can add or delete a file from the Documents tab.

  • Title:  Name of document as user determines.
  • Description:  Details about the document as user determines.
  • Date:  Date of upload or date related to document.
  • Type:  Type of document uploaded.  (The available list is not user defined.)
  • Allow WebReg Display:  If checked yes, the document will display in the Clients Documents option of WegReg MyAccounts for those clients that are registered for any section of the course.  The client can view or download the document.  To inform clients that the document is available, it is suggested to add this notice to the course description or reference in the automated email confirmation.  The Branch Profile setting for [Enable MyAccounts Uploads] must be enabled.
  • File:  use the browse button to search and upload the file.  the file name is automatically determined for storage by XenDirect.  During an edit, a document upload replaces the prior stored document with the new document.
  • If space is not available based on the amount of storage space purchased, the user will receive a prompt regarding the lack of available storage space.  Storage space includes all uploaded files and images.
