Quantity Registrations

Enabling quantity registrations allows a client/student to purchase a course with a quantity greater than one.

This feature is useful for corporate clients that are purchasing multiple slots for their employees or when selling tickets to an event. In both examples, only one name will be recorded with the registration.  Names are not recorded for each of the slots purchased by one client.  If a name is required for every registration, the quantity method would not meet this requirement, and each registration should be added separately.

• Quantity registrations cannot be enabled for Conferences, Workshops, or Memberships.
• When enabled, the quantity field on the cart can be edited by the client. Otherwise, the quantity field on the cart is locked and set = 1.
• Enrollment counts throughout XenDirect will accurately calculate enrollments based on the quantity even the number of client names would be fewer.
  

There are two methods to enable quantity registrations.

• Corporate Client:  This method enables the Quantity field for every course the corporate client is able to register for.
  • Go to the Client Info record and change the Client Type to Corporate.
• Single Course:  This method enables the Quantity field for every client but only for the specific course section.
  • Go to the Course Section and change the Maximum Quantity field to a value greater than one.  The value entered will also be the maximum number of slots a client can purchase.  Example: If the value is 10, the client can purchase from 1 to 10 tickets but no more than 10.
