Using Salesforce With Clients

A XenDirect Client can be either a Salesforce Lead or a Salesforce Contact, but cannot be both.  Following are the steps to view, send, and pull client data to/from Salesforce.

How To Tag an Existing XenDirect Client With an Existing Salesforce Lead/Contact

  • Go to Main Menu »» Clients »» Client Info.
  • Search and edit the desired Client record.
  • Go to the Other tab.
  • Add the Salesforce ID and Salesforce Type values.  These should match exactly as they are in Salesforce.
  • Save the Client record

How To Send an Existing XenDirect Client Into a New Salesforce Lead/Contact

To send a Client to Salesforce, the Client must be attached to a Company.  This allows the Contact/Lead to be attached to a Salesforce account.  If the Company does not exist in Salesforce, it will be added as an account.

  • Go to Main Menu »» Clients »» Client Info.
  • Search and view the desired Client record.
  • Go to the Salesforce tab.
  • Click the Salesforce Send button in the upper right corner of the Salesforce tab.
  • From the popup, select if the Client being sent to Salesforce will be a Lead or a Contact.
  • Click Send.
  • If there appears to be one or more records in Salesforce that matches the Client, a list of the possible matches will display.  Select from the list or select to add as a new record.
  • If there is no match in Salesforce, the Client will be added.

How To Import an Existing Salesforce Lead/Contact Into a New XenDirect Client

  • Go to Main Menu »» Clients »» Client Info.
  • Click the SF Import button in the blue toolbar.
  • Enter the search parameters for First and Last Name.  Both fields use an "anywhere" string search.  If "Jo" was used as a first name search, the results would include "Joe", "Joseph", "MaryJo" and "Joan".
  • Click the Search button.
  • Select one choice from the search results to import or Close to cancel.

How To Navigate To a Salesforce Lead/Contact From a New XenDirect Client

  • Go to Main Menu »» Clients »» Client Info.
  • Search and view the desired Client record.
  • Go to the Salesforce tab.
  • Click the Salesforce View button in the upper right corner of the Salesforce tab.
  • You will be redirected to Salesforce in a new window.
