Overview

The Funding feature allows you to record and manage various funding sources associated with a course section. This functionality enables users to track the amount allocated, its usage, and the balance remaining for each funding source.


Funding Details

To effectively manage funding sources, ensure you complete the following fields:

  • Fund Type:

    • The Funding Source list is user-defined and required. This field specifies the type of funding used for the course section (e.g., government grants, private sponsorship).
  • Company:
    • The Company list is also user-defined and specifies the company or entity providing the funding.
  • Start Date:
    • Optional. This field denotes the start date of the funding source's allocation period.
  • End Date:
    • Optional. This field denotes the end date of the funding allocation. This can be used to ensure that funding is applied correctly within the specific time frame.
  • Amount:
    • Optional. The monetary value of the funding source. This field allows you to track the allocated funding for the course section.
  • Target Hours:
    • Optional. This field allows you to specify the total target hours for the course under this funding source. It helps in monitoring if the funding is sufficient based on the expected course hours.
  • Target Enrollment:
    • Optional. This field allows you to define the total unduplicated target enrollment for the course based on this funding source. This helps in aligning enrollment numbers with the allocated funding.

Key Notes:

  • Funding Sources List: The available funding source options are user-defined. Ensure the list is up to date with all potential funding types relevant to your institution.
  • Tracking Funding Amounts: While the Amount field is optional, it's recommended to fill it in for more accurate tracking of available funding.
  • Reporting: Use the Funding Reports to analyze and generate reports based on the funding details entered.
