Additionally, Fee Groups support three types of memberships. By following this guide, you will understand how Fee Groups operate and how to manage them effectively.

Key Details About Fee Groups
- Fee Groups are user-defined.
- A default Fee Group is automatically assigned to new clients based on the Branch Profile settings. This can be updated as needed.
- Start and end dates are left blank by default for newly assigned Fee Groups.
- Only one Fee Group can be active for a client at any given time.
-
Fee Groups are active based on:
- The start and end dates of the Client’s Fee Group.
- The start date of the Course Section.
-
When adding additional Fee Groups:
- Existing Fee Groups must have both start and end dates defined.
- Only one Fee Group can have a blank end date.
- If a Course Section’s start date falls outside the Fee Group’s defined dates, fees may not calculate correctly.
Step-by-Step Instructions
To Add a Fee Group:
-
Verify that all existing Fee Groups for the client have both start and end dates.
- Ensure these dates encompass all relevant Course Section and Assignment dates.
-
Click Add Fee Group:
- Set the start date for the new Fee Group to one day after the last Fee Group’s end date.
- Leave the end date blank for the new Fee Group unless additional Fee Groups will be added later.
