Users often like to test functions or page displays on the WebReg module. For these purposes, a Client test account can be used.
How to Set Up a Test Client Account
- Create a new client record or modify an existing client record.
- Instead of letting XenDirect set the Client ID, manually enter the Client ID starting with TestAccount.
- Add a User Name and email address to the Client record.
- Save the Client record.
- Use the WebReg Forgot Password feature to set the password.

If you desire more than one test account, you can expand the Client ID with additional characters such as:
- TestAccountA
- TestAccountB
- TestAccountC
How to Use a Test Client Account
- Log into the WebReg module using the test client account credentials.
- Perform functions as desired in the same way a client would use the WebReg module.
- When getting to the payment page, use the demonstration credit card information as noted.
- You can complete a purchase using a test account. The payment gateway is ignored during test accounts, but the rest of the process will be the same including saving the Assignments and Payments. The test account will also receive the email confirmation.
- After using the test account, be sure to completely log out and close the browser tab in order to clear out any test settings.
