Bundles allow for the grouping of courses to achieve specific objectives, such as enforcing registration requirements, suggesting related courses, or offering pricing incentives. This guide outlines the different bundle types, their functionalities, and step-by-step instructions for creating and managing them.

Bundle Types and Functions

Corequisite and Subrequisite Bundles

Corequisite and Subrequisite Bundles ensure that clients register for additional courses based on their selections.

  • Corequisite: Requires registration for all courses in the bundle if any one of them is added to the cart.
  • Subrequisite: Requires registration of all "Required" courses in the bundle when a "Primary" course is added.

Key Considerations:

  • The Submit button is disabled until all bundle requirements are met.
  • If a required course is unavailable, registration is not possible.
  • If both Corequisite/Subrequisite and CrossSelling/Product Links exist, only the Corequisite/Subrequisite bundle will display.
  • Maximum of 10 courses per bundle.

Creating a Corequisite Bundle

  1. Go to Main Menu → Services → Bundles.
  2. Click the [New Bundle] button.
  3. Select "Corequisite" as the Type.
  4. Enter a unique Title (not visible in WebReg).
  5. Select WebReg for the Module.
  6. Set optional Start/End Dates (leave blank for always active).
  7. Enter an optional Description.
  8. Click Create to save.
  9. In View mode, edit the Courses panel:
    • Click [Add Course] to add courses (all are "Required").
    • Click [Add] after selecting courses.
    • Repeat as needed, up to 10 courses.
    • Click Save to enable the bundle.

Creating a Subrequisite Bundle

  1. Follow steps 1-8 as in Corequisite Bundle creation.
  2. In View mode, edit the Courses panel:
    • Click [Add Course].
    • Set "Primary" for the trigger course and "Required" for Subrequisite courses.
    • Click [Add].
    • Repeat as needed.
    • Click Save to enable the bundle.

CrossSelling Bundles

CrossSelling Bundles suggest related courses on the course detail page.

Key Features:

  • Suggested courses appear at the bottom of the course display.
  • Clicking a suggested course redirects to the Search Results page.
  • Only "Offered" courses appear.
  • Maximum 10 courses/products per bundle.

Creating a CrossSelling Bundle

  1. Go to Main Menu → Services → Bundles.
  2. Click [New Bundle].
  3. Select "CrossSelling" as the Type.
  4. Enter a unique Title.
  5. Select WebReg for the Module.
  6. Set optional Start/End Dates.
  7. Enter an optional Description.
  8. Click Create.
  9. In View mode, edit the Courses panel:
    • Click [Add Course/Product].
    • Set "Always" or "Other" for display preferences.
    • Click [Add].
    • Repeat as needed.
    • Click Save to enable the bundle.

Product Link Bundles

Product Link Bundles suggest related products at checkout.

Key Features:

  • Suggested products appear at the bottom of the course display.
  • No restrictions based on the client’s cart.
  • Products with approval codes/waitlists do not display.
  • Only "Required" fees are included.
  • Maximum 10 products/courses per bundle.

Creating a Product Bundle

  1. Follow steps 1-8 as in CrossSelling Bundle creation.
  2. In View mode, edit the Courses panel:
    • Click [Add Course/Product].
    • Click [Add].
    • Repeat as needed.
    • Click Save to enable the bundle.

Pricing Bundles

Pricing Bundles allow multiple courses to be registered together with a special bundled price.

Key Features:

  • Optional menu available for Pricing Bundles in WebReg.
  • Clients select sections from an available list.
  • Bundled pricing applies per client’s Fee Group.
  • Maximum 10 courses per bundle.

Restrictions:

  • Waitlisted sections do not display.
  • Approval Codes, Variable Fees, Prerequisites, Discounts, Minimum Payment, Quantity, and Refund Policies are ignored.
  • Third-Party Vendor courses are excluded.

Creating a Pricing Bundle

  1. Follow steps 1-8 as in previous bundles.
  2. In View mode, edit the Courses panel:
    • Click [Add Course].
    • Enter Revenue Item and Fee per course.
    • Click [Add].
    • Repeat as needed.
    • Click Save to enable the bundle.
