There is one primary reason why a Revenue Item from a Fee does not match the Revenue Item in a Payment transaction.
- Course Sections and other services can have more than one fee. Each fee could have a different Revenue Item.
- However, most times a single payment is recorded regardless of how many fees exist for the service being purchased.
- The Revenue Item selected for the payment transaction is typically a random selection of the Revenue Items from the Fees.
- If only one Fee exists, the Revenue Item should match.
- If multiple Fees exist, the Revenue Item may match but the more possible revenue Items there are in the Fees, the likelihood of a match diminishes.
- Users can change the Revenue Item in a Payment transaction as needed.
