Updates, fixes, and new features for the XenDirect InSight Business Intelligence reporting system


July 10, 2025

FIXES

  • Data Source Correction
    • The SectionsStaff data source has been corrected to accurately pull the Pay Rate from Course Sections for Instructor 2. Prior to the correction, the Pay Rate for Instructor 1 was displaying for Instructor 2. Any report using this data source will automatically display the correction without any action needed by users. One known InSight XenDirect report that uses that data source is the [Merge Form Layout 4] report.

  • Data Source Modifications and Additions 
    • Questions: Frequency field added.
    • Assignment Fee Options: The csgID primary key added. This field links to Section Fees.
    • Section Fees: The csgID primary key added to allow linkages from other data sources.
    • Transactions: The Details field added.
    • Branch and Multi-Branch: The WebURL field added.
    • Invoices: The iteID primary key field added. This ID field is the line item primary key.
    • Invoices Payments Union: The iteID primary key field added. This ID field is the line item primary key.
    • Program Enrollment: Separated Client last name, First Name, and MI fields for more control of correct spelling for diplomas.
    • Client program Classification: New data source added that will allow linkage between client, program, classification, and Branch data sources.

MODIFICATIONS

  • Client Contact List - Unduplicated (all versions) 
    • The is a new report that allows the client contact information to be filtered by Assignment, Section, or Course fields but only displays the client contact information in an unduplicated list.

FIXES

  • ClientFeeGroups data source (all versions) 
    • The data source has been corrected to correctly identify which Fee Group record is the "Current" Fee Group for each client. Before the fix, the data source could report more than one "Current" Fee Group based on the Fee Group records with no end date value.

MODIFICATIONS

  • Client merge Letters (all versions) 
    • The report has been modified to allow printing a letter for a Client that does not have Assignments. A [Client ID] report filter has been added.

FIXES

  • AssignmentFeeOptions data source (all versions) 
    • The data source has been corrected to prevent duplicate rows based on the number of Assignments a client has. This data source is used in the Fee Options global report.

  • Invoice - Grouped (all versions) 
    • Grand Total has been added to the end of the Amount column as a sum of all the invoices for the respective company.

  • Evaluation Replies - Pivots (Enterprise and Plus versions) 
    • Three new pivot format reports added. Each client response is displayed in a horizontal row format. The three formats group responses by Course Code, Instructor, or Session.

MODIFICATIONS

  • Conflict Checker (all versions AWS only) 
    • A required Start Date (period of time) filter has been added with a default vale of "Future". This addition helps prevent legacy data from being included on the initial report load and reduce the Session select options that where causing an error.

MODIFICATIONS

  • Repeat Table Headers (all versions AWS only) 
    • The issue where table headers in form reports (i.e.Rosters) do not repeat to the next page is resolved. The reason this is displayed as being fixed over a week long period of time is that the fix requires us to complete this tedious change per customer rather than a single fix that deploys to all sites.

  • Daily Sign-In Roster (all versions AWS only) 
    • The [Hours to Date] column has been added to both the regular and QuickTools versions of this roster. The [Hours to Date] displays the total hours from Client Attendance (Enterprise only). Otherwise, if no hours or not the Enterprise version, this column displays a zero.

    • Aggregate hours and days per cliID and schID, including fields from Client Assignment, Course Section, and Daily Attendance (Enterprise only).

    • Client cliID column added.

    • Department, Display Return Address, Time Zone Diff, and SQLGetDate columns added.
  • Permission Groups
    • Orginzation name and orgID columns added.
  • Transactions
    • User Name from EnteredBy and ModififedBy fields as "Cashiers" and Cashier Facility columns added.
  • InvoicesPaymentsUnion
    • genID column added to allow easy link with revenue data source.

MODIFICATIONS/ADDITIONS

  • Performance Improvements (all versions - AWS only)
    • A major improvement to InSight reports has been deployed. Users should see a significant increase in the load and preview time of all reports run manually and those embedded into actions, such as [Print Receipt]. Testing demonstrated improvements ranging from 500% to 900% faster load times.
