Applies To:    Enterprise

Field Details

  • Type:  Identification field for reporting consistency.  All attendance should be considered "attended", "absent", or "no school" (class not held). Type is a required field and is not user-defined.  If tagged as “no school”, attendance reports will ignore the value for Absent and Attended calculations.
  • Credit: The number of credits given for attendance tagged with this code.  Must be >= 0 (zero) and <= 1 (one) and is a required field.
  • Display in Admin:  Uncheck Attendance Code to prevent display as an option in the Admin Module.
  • Display in QuickTools:  Uncheck Attendance Code to prevent display as an option in the QuickTools Module.
  • Permission Groups:  Highlight the Permission Groups allowed to use the Attendance Code.  Users assigned to the Permission Groups highlighted will be able to use the Attendance Code when adding/editing attendance.  Users of groups not highlighted will not see the Attendance Code in the drop-down select list.

Important Notes

  • Attendance Codes cannot be deleted or added.  However, users can change settings to display only the Attendance Codes desired.
  • If you change Attendance Code settings, the change is effective for all existing data.
  • The XX attendance code is also used in conjunction with the attendance function of the QuickTools module to signify when a student has dropped from or no longer is attending a course assignment.
