Field Details

  • Code:  Code number. Required field.

  • Title: Program title of code. Required field.

  • Group: Group title for code.  Required field.
  • Type:

    • CIP = Classification of Instructional Programs.  The CIP is a taxonomic coding scheme that contains titles and descriptions of primarily postsecondary instructional programs. It was developed to facilitate the collection and reporting of postsecondary degree completions by major fields of study using standard classifications that capture the majority of reportable program activity.

    • NAIC = North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is the standard used by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy.
