Overview
Company records are branch-shared, meaning they are accessible across all branches in a multi-branch setup. They are integral to various XenDirect features, as detailed below. Unless specified otherwise, all features are available in all versions of XenDirect.

Key Details

Company Name: This is a required field and must be unique for each record. Apostrophes cannot be used in the Company Name field for programming reasons.

Name Prefix List: This is a user-defined list.

Company Type: Also a user-defined list and a required field. Examples include company, sponsor, vendor, textbook vendor, employer, board member, etc. • Reserved Types: “Company” and “Employer” are reserved and used elsewhere in XenDirect. Avoid altering the spelling of these types.

Billing Address:

Used in client payment transactions if not specified on the transaction.

Appears on client invoices.

If not entered upon saving a Company record, the mailing address will automatically populate the billing address. “Same as Mailing” can also update the billing address.

Bill to Attention of: If populated, this field replaces the contact’s first and last name in the Invoice report address.

Stop/Hold Field: Flags special client registration matters. Text entered here triggers a pop-up prompt when a new Client Registration Payment is tagged to the respective company.

NAIC Code: See Business Codes.
Tabs and Their Functions

Individual Clients Tab:

Displays clients tagged as Individual Clients where the Company/Employer field matches the Company Name.
