The Move to AWS and the Monitoring the Progress

The final planning is underway for the move to AWS and the phase out of Release 2. Many users have questions and request updates to the process and plan. That information is now available on special articles in the Support Center. We will update these articles as new information is available and the process takes place.

These articles are dated each time they are modified. As we progress through the process, we will also post updates to the process as well as any new instructions and information. We will also be posting a Pre-Transition Checklist that will help you confirm you are ready for the transition.

Read all the details here...

What's Ahead for 2023

Although many events happen in a year, the two biggest events this year for Xenegrade include the move to AWS and the start of the WebReg module rebuild.

The article above and the related support articles it mentions outline very well the process for the move to AWS and the phase out of Release 2. These articles will answer most every questions users may have about the process. As new questions arise, we will update these pages with the latest information.

But for many, the news that the WebReg module will undergo a redesign is new. The plan has been in place for several years, and it finally starts this year. As the date gets closer to the reprogramming, we will share more detail with users on the status and changes taking place. The biggest change taking place with the WebReg module will be the expansion of branding opportunities and the ability to customize more of the site's display features. In addition to the existing WebReg features, a few new ones will be added that have been requested over the years.

We are excited about both initiatives this year as they have been years in the making!

Scanning Apps Can Have Negative Impact

On occasion, some customers have utilized various products to scan their XenDirect data and websites. We understand their reasons for doing so, but scanning applications can cause several adverse issues and disruptions to servers and websites.

Here is a partial list of possible effects:
  • Server is overloaded with requests and locks out customers and clients trying to access XenDirect sites.
  • Server security applications block access to the server as if the scan application is an attack or hack attempt.
  • Scan application uses all the processing availability and crashes the server.
If your organization is planning to use any form of scanning application on your data or XenDirect sites, please contact Xenegrade first. Working together, we can plan the process and make sure your effort operates smoothly.
