Custom Reports

Custom reports are specially designed reports for a specific customer.  No reports will display in the menu except when a custom report has been designed and installed for your XenDirect site.  Operation instructions and specifications for custom reports are provided directly to each customer directly.  Contact your system administrator for details on custom reports installed for your XenDirect site.

Contact sales@xenegrade.com for details about custom reports.

User Reports

User reports are reports designed by your organization using Crystal Reports and uploaded from the Admin Menu.  No reports will display in the select list except when a user report has been uploaded to your XenDirect site.  Operation instructions and specifications for user reports should come from your report designer.

  • Support assistance for User Reports is limited to assisting with the ODBC connection and understanding the data model (data tables).  Support for query design and report design is performed on an approval basis only at the current hourly custom development rate.
  • In the original design of a Crystal Report, make sure to disable the File menu option called Save Data With Report.  This option must be disabled to allow the report to refresh the data from within XenDirect.
  • If a filter parameter is used for the full course code rather than the Course ID and Section ID, it is recommended to add one of these two views instead of the Course and CourseSchedule tables: vCourseCode or vCourseSchedule.  These two views have many of the most common Course and CourseSchedule fields plus an alias field called [courseCode] that is a version of the full course code in concatenated form.
  • The following features are not supported in user designed reports:
    • Dynamic parameters.  Only static parameters can be used.
