InSight Pro Introduction

InSight Pro is the portion of the RMS (Report Management System) that allows identified users to create reports using design tools embedded into XenDirect. The user record must be tagged as "InSight Pro" to be able to access these special features. InSight Essential users can run reports designed by InSight Pro users but cannot access the design elements.

InSight Pro Features

The design elements within InSight that Pro users can access include:

• Copy existing XenDirect built-in reports.
• Create reports from scratch.
• Create these report types:
  • Grid reports: Also known as column reports.
  • Form reports: Such as certificates and custom transcripts.
  • Pivot reports: Defined as reports that summarize data grouped together in a meaningful way.
  • Charts and Graphs: These are often displayed in a dashboard layout.

Support and Training

The skills needed to be an InSight Pro user are those who may have some experience with SQL, Microsoft Access, HTML design, or other applications where a little more skill is needed than the average daily computer user. Pro users will be building relationships between data tables, designing report layouts, and possibly even creating forms using HTML code.

Training is highly recommended for InSight Pro users. Xenegrade provides access to online, self-study courses via the Online Subscription training.

Support for InSight Pro users:

• Support is limited to assistance with the design features of InSight. 
• Support does not cover debugging, analysis, or review of report designs for accuracy or outcome specifications. Requests for report debugging, analysis, or design assistance would be on a custom basis at the current custom programming rate.
• The support staff is limited in their ability to assist Pro users that do not possess the proper programming and design skills and experience to design and create reports.
