This article explains the two functions available to assist with data management for the NYSED Secondary CTEDS-2 report. These functions are based on the limited information currently available regarding CTEDS changes.
Tag CTEDS

Tools → Client Functions → Tag CTEDS
Applies To: Enterprise
Function Overview
The Tag CTEDS function automatically assigns CTEDS = Yes to Client Assignments when:
- The Course Schedule is tagged as CTEDS = Yes
- The Course CIP Code field is not blank
Handling Multiple CTEDS Assignments
- The system checks if a Client has at least one CTEDS Assignment. If one exists, it does not tag another.
- If a Client has several Assignments, and none are tagged as CTEDS = Yes, this function may result in multiple CTEDS Assignments.
- Since XenDirect does not determine which Assignment should be tagged, all Assignments are tagged if the Course is a CTEDS course.
- When submitting a CTEDS report, each Client should have only one Assignment tagged CTEDS = Yes.
Checking for Duplicate CTEDS Assignments
To ensure only one Assignment per Client is tagged as CTEDS = Yes, run the InSight Duplicate Enrollments Report before submitting the CTEDS report.
Conclusion
The Tag CTEDS function simplifies tagging assignments but requires validation to prevent duplicate CTEDS Assignments. Always review the InSight Duplicate Enrollments Report to confirm accuracy before submission. For further assistance, refer to related articles or contact support.
