Policies

User-defined list of Cancellation and Refund Policies used in Course Sections.

Notes 

  • Both options are available for organizations that maintain policies for both cancellation and refunds.  However, each can be used independently from the other.

  • To enable, go to Branch Profile > Preferences:

    • Require Section Cancellation Policy:  If Yes, requires that every Course Section have a cancellation policy.

    • Require Section Refund Policy:  If Yes, requires that every Course Section have a refund policy.

  • If enabled and a Course Section has a valid policy:

    • The generic Refund Policy (Branch Profile > Preferences) will be disabled and replaced with the value from this table.

    • The generic Refund Policy (Branch Profile > Preferences) no longer displays in the footer of the WebReg automatic confirmation email.
    • The Course Section Refund Policy will display with the course detail in the WebReg automatic confirmation email.
    • The Course Section Alternate Refund Policy is ignored.

  • If enabled and a Course Section does not have a valid policy:
    • The generic Refund Policy (Branch Profile > Preferences) no longer displays in the footer of the WebReg automatic confirmation email.
    • The generic Refund Policy (Branch Profile > Preferences) will display with the course detail in the WebReg automatic confirmation email.
    • The Course Section Alternate Refund Policy is ignored.

  • This setting affects the display in the following areas:

    • Admin Module email receipt

    • WebReg Module email confirmation

    • WebReg Module checkout complete page via popup option


Field Details 

  • Name: The unique name for the policy. Required field.

  • Type: Select if the policy is either a Cancel or Refund policy.

  • Status: Select if the policy is active or inactive. Inactive policies will still always display in drop-down select lists.

  • Policy Text:  The written text of the policy as a client would receive. The field supports HTML.
