Course Settings

These are the course-level settings relevant to the WebReg module.

Applies To:    Enterprise    Plus    Basic

These settings control some of the course content. 

Access the following display options at Main Menu > Courses.

• Category:  The WebReg module Category search field uses the Category field as attached to the Course.
• Description:  This is the course description as displayed in the Course Detail page of the WebReg module.
• Image (upload):  Upload an image to display in the Course Detail page of the WebReg module for every section of the same Course.  Size is not recommended to be larger than 270 px × 270 px.
• Image (URL):  Link to an image that will display in the Course Detail page of the WebReg module for every section of the same Course.  Paste the entire URL in this field.  If both an uploaded image and an image URL exist, the image URL takes priority over the uploaded image.
• Program Group: The WebReg module Program Group search field uses the Program Group(s) attached to the Course.

These settings control which fields display on the Course Detail page. 

Access the following display options at Admin/Security > Settings > Web Options > Course Display.

• Show Course Location
• Show Facility Only
  • The [Facility Only] option requires the Show Location to be enabled.  Facility Only will disable room and show facility only.

• Show Course Session
• Show Course Hours
• Show Course Weeks
• Show Course Months
• Show Course Teacher
• Show Course Format
• Show Course Credits
• Show Course Audience
• Show Course Abstract
• Show Teacher Bio
  • The Show Teacher Bio requires that Show Course Teacher also be enabled.  However, Show Course Teacher can be enabled without displaying the Teacher Bio.
• Break Course Code
  • If checked, the Course Code will display as Course ID and Section ID.
• Show Course Time Zone
• Show Available Slots
  • Enable or disable the display of available course slots.  If enabled, the available slots will display for all course sections.  To display slots only for specific course sections, disable this value and enable the Display Slots for the course sections desired. Note that the display may automatically disable when the course is no longer available for registration.
