How to Copy a Single Ed2Go Course Into XenDirect

Use this process to copy a single Ed2Go offering from the master Ed2Go catalog to a XenDirect course and section. If the course and section are already being offered in your XenDirect courses and sections, and are not tagged as Ed2Go , this process will duplicate them. Always be sure to tag existing Ed2Go courses and sections before using the copy function. This same process is also used for Ed2Go CTP course sections.

Go to Admin/Settings Menu > Course Functions > Manage Ed2Go. If the menu option does not display, contact your system administrator to enable permission for this menu option.
Go to Ed2go Sections.
Search as desired to display currently available offerings.
Click on the [Copy] button in the section row desired.
Once clicked, the popup window will prompt you for additional information before saving the course and section.
The Course ID and Section ID will display the Ed2Go course and section codes by default. Those values can be changed to any course and section ID desired as long as they are not in use. If you change the course and section ID, the course and section will still be tagged as Ed2Go by the alternate and vendor fields.
The Primary Fee field defaults the display to the retail price suggested by Ed2Go. The suggested fee is only a recommended fee. You can modify this fee to a different amount. The fee should not however be less than the cost of the purchase fee from Ed2Go.
Enter all other required fields and any desired non-required fields.
- Staff is required. It is recommended to create a generic staff record for this purpose.
- Location is required. It is recommended to create a generic "online" location record for this purpose.
- Revenue Item is required.
Click Next to review your selections.
Click Back to modify your selections or click Save to copy the Ed2Go into your course offerings.
The course section will be saved with all the correct settings to be offered and available for purchase via the WebReg module.

Click on the view button in the course row to view the sections offerings available.
If a section is already offered, the far right column will display “Section Offered” meaning the course section is already in your offerings.
If a section is not currently in your offerings, click the Copy Section button in the row desired. If the Copy Section button is not displayed, Ed2Go has not been enabled, and the Ed2Go is view only.
