The Eligibility feature in Fee Groups enables administrators to automatically assign clients to appropriate Fee Groups based on predefined eligibility criteria. These criteria can be set using the Admin module for manual assignment or the WebReg module for client self-selection. The eligibility can be determined using factors such as age, postal code, residency status, and state.
Setting Fee Group Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria Formats
Follow these guidelines to set eligibility for Fee Group membership. The eligibility will only be applied if the format follows the examples provided below:

Age:
A range must be set for age eligibility, even if it's for a single age. Enter the range as###_###

Open:
Eligibility is not used for the Open type of Fee Group. -
Postal Code:

Enter either "Yes" or "No" to specify eligibility based on residency status.- Yes: The Client Residency field is checked.

Admin Module Setup
In the Admin module, Fee Groups are automatically assigned based on the eligibility criteria set. If no eligibility criteria are met, the default Fee Group is used.
WebReg Module Setup
To enable automatic Fee Group selection based on eligibility in the WebReg module, follow these steps:

Enable WebReg Eligibility Membership:
- Go to Admin/Security → Web Options.
- Edit the [Registration] panel.

Locate and select Enable Select Features, then choose the "Memberships-Eligibility" option.
- Important: Only select the "Eligibility" option; unhighlight all other options.

Tag Fee Groups for Web Display:
- Ensure that each Fee Group you want available in the WebReg module has Web Display = Yes.

Add Resident Question to Account Profile:
- Use the Instruction Boxes feature to add the "Resident" question to the client's account profile by selecting the "Profile Residency" instruction box.
Once these steps are complete, clients will automatically be assigned to the appropriate Fee Group based on their eligibility. If they do not meet any eligibility criteria, the default Fee Group will be applied. This process only occurs for new accounts.
