Overview

Prints raw data for the SASS report.  The SASS report is used primarily in NYS.

 


Report Data Details

  • Only clients/students assigned to a Course or Course section tagged as Program Group = "SASS".

  • Only records for client/students tagged as the following will display on this report:  Client Funding is tagged as either EA-TEP, EA-AHSEP, or EA-HSE for the respective SASS Program.

  • Client group determination is based on: 

    • Facility as identified by the Room/Location field in the Course sections.

    • Number of attendance hours within the program year and within the start and end dates listed in the respective Client Funding record.

    • The lowest math and/or reading Grade Equivalent test score within the program year.  Tests included in this determination include tests in the Test List tagged as test code = "TM" or "TR".  Tests tagged with Pre/Post = "N/A" are excluded. Scale used:

    • If no test is available, the client is placed into a Group 0 (zero) as literacy level cannot be determined.

    • Scale used for groups/levels:

      • When GE >= 11 then 11 plus

      • When GE >= 9 then 9.0-10.9

      • When GE >= 6 then 6.0-8.9

      • When GE >= 4 then 4.0-5.9

      • When GE >= 2 then 2.0-3.9

      • When GE >= 0 then 0.0-1.9

      • Else "No test"

  • Client Advanced Literacy Level determination is based on the maximum score for the same test type used to determine initial literacy level.

  • Client disability determination is based on:  At least one record in the Client Classification records that contains the letter sequence "disabl" or equal to "CSE classified" as named in the Classification table.

  • Client passed GED determination is based on:  At least one Client Testing record within the program year within the program year and the status = "Passed".  Tests included in this determination include tests in the Test List tagged as test code = "GED".

  • Client remained in program determination is based on:

    • The client does not have an overall termination date before the program year end date as listed in the Termination Date field on the Intake/Exit tab of the Client Info record AND

    • Client did not pass GED exam as noted above.

    • Organizations using a different determination method for recording returning students should ignore this column.

  • Client dropout determination is based on:

    • The client has an overall termination date before the program year end date as listed in the Termination Date field on the Intake/Exit tab of the Client Info record AND

    • Client did not pass GED exam as noted above.

    • Organizations using a different determination method for recording returning students should ignore this column.


Application Data details

  • Client disability determination is based on:  At least one record in the Client Classification records that contains the letter sequence "disabl" and named in the Classification table.

  • Client passed GED determination is based on:  At least one Client Testing record within the program year within the program year and the status = "Passed".  Tests included in this determination include tests in the Test List tagged as test code = "GED".

  • Client failed GED determination is based on:  At least one Client Testing record within the program year within the program year and the status = "Failed" and none tagged as "Passed".  Tests included in this determination include tests in the Test List tagged as test code = "GED".

  • Client waiting GED determination is based on:  At least one Client Testing record within the program year within the program year and the status = "Waiting" and none tagged as "Passed" or "Failed".  Tests included in this determination include tests in the Test List tagged as test code = "GED".

  • Client failed then passed GED determination is based on:  At least one Client Testing record within the program year within the program year and the status = "Failed" and one tagged as "Passed".  Tests included in this determination include tests in the Test List tagged as test code = "GED".

  • Client remained in program determination is based on:

    • The client does not have an overall termination date before the program year end date as listed in the Termination Date field on the Intake/Exit tab of the Client Info record AND

    • Client did not pass GED exam as noted above.

    • Organizations using a different determination method for recording returning students should ignore this column.

  • Returned, Dropped, Removed, and Jail Program Determination:  The Termination Reason in the Client Info screen determines the Clients reason for leaving the program.  Since this field is a user defined field and numerous values could match each of the termination categories in the SASS application, the Termination Reason and Date are listed.  From this list, the user should manually review and calculate the totals for application columns 3, 9, 10, and 11.
