Exit Assignments

The Exit Assignments utility allows users to update assignment exit information for an entire course enrollment from a single screen. This feature enables bulk updates for key fields such as grades, credits, enrollment status, and completion codes.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access the Exit Assignments Function

  1. Navigate to ToolsCourse FunctionsExit Assignments.
  2. The Exit Assignments table will appear.

2. Enter Course Information

  • Course Code: Enter the course code of the section you wish to update.
    • The list is filtered based on the [Display in Popup] field in the Sessions table.
    • Release 3: Changes to the display setting have a 24-minute cache delay.

3. Set Default Values (Optional)

You may pre-fill fields with default values that will not overwrite existing data:

  • Default Grade → Auto-populates the grade field.
  • Default Hours → Auto-populates the number of hours field.
  • Default Days → Auto-populates the number of days field.
  • Default Credits → Auto-populates the number of credits field.

Click CONTINUE to proceed or CANCEL to exit.

4. Confirm and Select Records

  • A confirmation page will display your selected settings.
  • If course enrollment exceeds 100 students, an additional option to select [Records Group] appears.
  • Records Group → Allows selection of a specific range of records based on a numeric grouping.

5. Edit Assignment Fields

Modify the available fields directly in the table grid:

6. Save or Cancel Changes

  • Click SAVE/CLOSE to apply changes and exit.
  • Click CANCEL to exit without saving changes.

Key Notes

  • Restricted Grades:
    • If the Grading Codes table contains grades tagged as "Restricted Included", the Final Grade field will be limited to the approved grade list.
    • The list is case-sensitive.
    • If an invalid grade is entered, a prompt will display the allowed grade list and return the user to the previous window.
