Gender

The Gender field is used within Client and Staff Demographics to classify individuals based on a designated gender code. In a multi-branch setup, Gender values are standardized across all branches, meaning that modifications in one branch apply universally.

Field Details

  • Gender Code: A single-letter abbreviation representing gender. This is the recorded value in the Client or Staff record and is a required field. Each code must be unique and cannot be duplicated. If an existing Gender Code is modified, all associated Client and Staff records will automatically reflect the change.

  • Description: A label or description corresponding to the Gender Code.

  • WebReg Module Integration: If Gender selection is enabled in the WebReg module, all available gender values will be displayed for clients to choose from.

Key Notes

  • Gender values remain consistent across all branches in a multi-branch setup.

  • Updates to an existing Gender Code automatically update all linked Client and Staff records.

  • The WebReg module allows clients to select their preferred gender if this feature is enabled.

Conclusion
The Gender field plays a critical role in demographic classification across Clients and Staff. With standardized values across all branches, ensuring accuracy and consistency is essential. Any modifications to Gender Codes will be reflected universally.
