Restricting Registration Based on Age or Grade Level

Registration can be restricted based on a client's age or grade level.

Applies To:    Enterprise    Plus    Basic


Access the following display options at Main Menu > Sections.

  • Minimum/Maximum Age:  If one or both of these restrictions is entered, Web Registrations require the entry of a birthdate in the Client record and the Start Date in the Course Section record. The age restriction is automatically enforced when a value is added to one or both of these settings.  The client will not be able to purchase the course if their age is outside the restricted age range.  The client's age is calculated based on the start date of the course section with the age restrictions.
  • Minimum/Maximum Grade:  If one or both of these restrictions is entered, Web Registrations require the entry of a Grade in the client profile. The grade restriction is automatically enforced when a value is added to one or both of these settings.  The client will not be able to purchase the course if their grade is outside the restricted grade range.  The client's grade is based on the [Current/Last Grade] field in the client's profile.
    • There is also an Instruction Box called "Current Grade Conflict Message" to assist the client when no grade has been recorded.  If you are using a Client Profile Question for Web-GradeCurrent and the client does not have a Current Grade set in their Client record, they will be given the opportunity to provide the Grade before checkout. If they do not meet the requirement, then they will be prevented from completing the checkout process and they will be alerted  Values for the minimum and maximum grade values are limited to: PreK2, PreK3, PreK4, PreK5, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
