Export Button: This feature allows the report to be exported in various formats.
- Word: Exports the report to an editable Word document. The conversion process attempts to make the visual formatting as close to the original as possible but may vary.
- Excel: Exports the report to an editable Excel spreadsheet. The various parts of the report will display on separate worksheets.
- PDF: Exports the report in PDF format. This is the preferred format for all built-in reports with special layouts such as certificates, merge telemeters, envelopes, and labels.
- CSV: Exports the report in a comma-delimited text format.
- Word: Exports the report to an editable Word document. The conversion process attempts to make the visual formatting as close to the original as possible but may vary.
- After selecting the export format, a progress meter will appear in the lower right corner of the window as the output is created. When the output report is ready, the user should receive a prompt to "Open with" or "Save As". Depending on your browser settings, these options may differ. For most users, select "Open with" and the application desired to open the file. The user could select to save the file to print later, edit manually, or send via email as an attachment.

Exporting Reports to Excel: Reports that contain text fields that contain HTML encoded text for special characters instead of the actual text characters may not see the HTML encoded text values converted to characters. This is an Excel encoding issue, not an InSight issue. To resolve the issue, after the export, use the Excel Replace function to replace all the instances of the characters to correct. In some cases, the use of Alt Codes may be required to key in the special character.
