WebReg 3.0: What is the Latest News? |
The WebReg 3.0 development process is moving along rapidly. Our excitement grows each day that another feature successfully passes testing. Meanwhile, two important dates are around the corner: Sneak Peek and Beta Testing. Sneak Peek In the March 18 news post, we will be sharing a link to an updated Sneak Peek of WebReg 3.0 along with information about the migration process and more. If you have subscribed to our newsletter, you will be among the first to see the Sneak Peek! Beta Testing We are seeking about five customers that would be interested in being a Beta site. As a Beta participant, you will receive early access to components of the new WebReg interface as they become ready. The Beta environment will be connected to your actual data, but the interface will be read-only. No data can be edited or changed. The purpose of this Beta testing is focused and specific. Beta users can help us confirm that existing functionality works as expected, identify anything that is missing compared to your current WebReg experience, and bring to our attention any major usability or functional issues prior to general release. The Beta testing is not intended for new feature requests or enhancements. We will continue to do that through our suggestion process. Our primary goal is to ensure the new platform is stable, complete, and ready for broad adoption. Even though we will have tested multiple times, our experience has shown that day-to-day users often discover issues our testing did not. Participation would involve short, periodic testing cycles and timely feedback as new components are released for testing. We suggest that just one or two staff members will act as your Beta testers. We will provide clear guidance, a primary point of contact, an online method to log testing results, and regular updates throughout the process. If your organization is interested, please submit a support ticket including the 1-2 user names that would be participating. We will get back to you soon after that with details. And a huge thank you for volunteering! |

Payment Plans and Online Applications:
![]() |
The technicians at the Xenegrade Lab are always working on new features or improving features that users already enjoy. Here are two features that are currently in the design phase. That provides you with a great opportunity to help shape them! Payment Plans Different than the current Split Invoice feature, Payment Plans will allow you to create different payment plans and link them to Course Sections. Our belief is that these are most often used on longer term and more expensive programming. If you would like to read the draft concept, submit a support ticket request for the Payment Plan Concept paper. After reading the concept paper, we look forward to your comments and input. Online Applications The current WebReg module has one 100% custom online application process aimed at gathering the information for longer term programming. Over the past few years, some organizations have asked about an online application for the same type of programming. It is not entirely feasible that every online application process would be all custom. We are instead trying to design a process that contains the common elements for all customers and then add flexibility for those elements that differ. This feature does not have a concept paper. However, we would still like your input if this is of interest to you. The best way to help us is to send us a copy of your program application via a support ticket. From that we can have a broader base from which design and build. |
