Updates, new features, and fixes for the XenDirect Admin Module - Release 3

Release Numbers: There are four parts to the release number as represented by A.B.C.D where: A = Release version, B = Sequential year of release (2020 is year 1, 2021 is year 2, etc.), C = Month of the year, and D = The sequential number of the release that month. Example: 3.5.01.01

MODIFICATIONS / ADDITIONS

  • Home Page (all versions)
    • The three new quick reference panels have been modified to only display Course Sections that have an Offered status.
  • User Interface Performance (all versions)
    • A performance enhancement has been deployed to the login process, reducing load time and improving overall responsiveness. This update is part of an ongoing series of optimizations to our core system engine designed to deliver faster, smoother access for all users.
  • Accounts (all versions)
    • All locations where the Account field is used as in a select list now orders the drop down list by Active first, then Inactive. You will see different icons displayed for both status values. This allows Inactive values to display in the list for legacy purposes, but pushes them down the list where they are less needed. This same feature is being added to other select lists within the next two months. 
  • Client SSN (all versions)
    • The Branch setting called [Display SSN] has been changed to [Mask SSN]. The field now modifies the way the Client SSN field displays on the screen in the Client Profile record. If enabled, the SSN value will display with * in place of numbers except for the last 4 numbers which will display correctly. During data entry, the number will display normally.
  • Digital Credentials (for future use)
    • As we get closer to offering integration with a Digital Credentials vendor, you will see some new fields in the Course Credentials and Course Section areas that are placeholders for this integration. More information will be available coming in June 2026.

FIXES

  • Branch Images (all versions)
    • The fields that allow either an image URL or a linked image will now both display. The related change display change will occur in WebReg 3.0 when launched. If both fields have a value for one image, the URL field takes priority.
  • Fee Options (Enterprise and Plus versions)
    • The error when accessing add, view, and edit of Client Fee Options is resolved. We are still reviewing reports of changes to invoice items when Fee Options are modified.
  • Course section / Evaluations (all versions)
    • The intermittent error when adding a Client's evaluation data has been resolved.

    • Three new quick reference panels have been added: Courses Starting This Week, Courses Ending This Week, and Waitlisted Courses. The panels are collapsed by default. The Course Codes are clickable and will redirect the user to the view mode for the Course Section.
  • Manage Ed2Go (all versions, if enabled)
    • The AutoAdd creation process now requires the Revenue Item field to contain a value.

FIXES

  • Section Send Email (all versions)
    • The Send Email feature when used from a Course Section now correctly uses the Alt Email Address from the email template.
  •   Panel Displays (all versions)
    • The following panels have been corrected to display the underlying records rather than display an empty list:
      • Client / Employment Verification
      • Bundles / Courses
      • Selects / Revenue / Funding

    • A user access and acceptable use agreement link now displays at the login screen. This agreement is related to user access and behavior. This is not an organizational licensing agreement.
  • TransactR Payment Gateway (all versions)
    • Process improvements to the new TransactR payment gateway.

FIXES

  • Add Assignments
    • The error preventing the ability to add "transfer" courses has been resolved. (custom)
    • The issue where some prerequisite checks are not restricting registrations has been resolved. (Enterprise and Plus versions)
  • Send Email (all versions)
    • The issue where the filter combination included the Course (not Section) data has been resolved.
  • Client Assignment (all versions)
    • The issue causing Fee Option to record the fee as an integer rather than a decimal has been resolved.
  • IP Logs (all versions)
    • The various locations where XenDirect logs the IP of the user has been corrected to record the user's actual IP address and not the IP of the AWS server.
  • Payments (all versions)
    • The deposit date on credit card transactions has been corrected to record the correct cutoff time based on the Branch settings.

    • The $ symbol on the Teacher 1 and Teacher 2 benefit rate fields has been removed. No symbol is displayed because the rate could be either $ or % based on another field value.
    • A new field called [Allow Guest Registrations] has been added to Course Sections. The field displays in the WebReg Settings panel. This field will be used in companion with a new System Setting in the new WebReg 3.0 release.

    • The [Display Cart Button] field now defaults to "Yes" on a new record.
  • User Menu (all versions)
    • The [Releases and Updates] menu option has been modified to an [About] option. This option now displays the Version, License Expiration, Release #, and a View Updates link.

    • The Description field that was missing from the add/edit has been resolved.
  • System Settings (all versions)
    • The [Module] field correctly displays the value when =  "All".
  • SMS Text (all versions, if enabled)
    • A processing error when sending texts has been resolved.
  • Memberships (Enterprise and Plus versions)
    • The error on new and existing records has been resolved. The error only occurred for organizations where the Session is set as a required field on Course Sections.
  • Course Section (all versions)
    • The issue that prevented the value for the [Calculation Method] field from display on the form has been resolved.

    • The Quantity Discount issue when the quantity is set for 3 has been resolved. The issue corrected was when more than 3 Assignments were added and the discount was added for invalid courses.
