Countries

Used in Client native country field and country field in Postal Code records.

Important:  For postal code functions to operate correctly in all modules, the country name for the United States should not be changed.  The country name should always be titled “United States” exactly as quoted here.

Field Details 

• Country Code:  Use the two-letter abbreviation code typically approved by the postal service. The field cannot be duplicated in more than one record. Required field.
• Country Name: Full name of the country. The field cannot be duplicated in more than one record. Required field.
• Order: This field determines what order country names should display in dropdown lists.  Can set order from 1 to 9.  By default, all countries are set to 9.  Select lists will order first by Order and then second by Name.  For example, to display the United States first and all others alphabetically after, set the United States order = 1, and all others leave at 9.  If you would like to list two countries first such as the United States and Canada, set both Order = 1 or set one Order  = 1 and the other Order = 2 and all the rest to Order = 9.
