This article explains how to add and manage address field values in the system. It covers different address methods, recommended formatting for each field, and how to handle country-only addresses.
Address Method Overview
The address method is determined by the Branch Preference setting, which defines how addresses are formatted based on country-specific requirements. If managing both US and international addresses, the ZIP-Global setting is recommended.
-
ZIP:
- Uses a standard US 5-digit postal code format.
- State is used as the identifier instead of Districts or Provinces.
-
ZIP-Global:
- Supports both US and international addresses.
- State is still used as the identifier.
-
District:
- Designed for countries without postal codes.
- Uses Districts instead of States or Provinces.
-
Provinces:
- Accommodates countries with alphanumeric postal codes (up to seven characters).
- Uses Provinces instead of Districts or States.
-
Town:
- Designed for countries with alphanumeric postal codes (up to seven characters).
- Uses Towns and does not require a District, State, or Province.
